Aruba
Aruba is an island country in the Southern Carribean, about 29 kilometres north of Venezuela. Just 32 km long and 10 kilometers wide. Together with Bonaire and Curacao it is also known as the ABC islands. In 1986 it became a constituent country with the Kingdom of the Netherlands and was named the Country of Aruba. Unlike much of the Caribbean region, Aruba has a dry climate and an arid, cactus-strewn landscape. Since the Oil refinery closed in 1985 tourism became Aruba’s largest industry. Its sunny climate brings many tourist to the island (mainly Americans)
